United Way is a Non-profit organization that works globally to improve the lives of the communities around them -
for United Way for Southeastern Michigan that includes Wayne, Washtenaw, Oakland, and Macomb counties.
We are able to assist these communities by providing health care, quality education, income support, assistance with
food insecurity, and so much more.
My work with United Way for Southeastern Michigan (UWSEM) has included all from creating documents to entire
brand concepts, and everything in between! Big or small, each project I've worked on with UWSEM has given me not
only the opportunity to grow as a designer, but also a chance to put my skills to the test to see just how wide my range
can truly go - and I have enjoyed every minute of it.

RESOURCE CARD
Our resource card is a handout distributed at United Way for Southeastern Michigan events to inform the general public
of what exactly we do as a company for those who may not know, or need more information. The back of the card features
three different QR codes that take you to our site depending on whether you are interested in donating to us, advocating
with us, or volunteering with us.

TOCQUEVILLE TOASTS & TOUCHDOWNS "SAVE THE DATE" IDEATIONS
Tocqueville Toasts & Touchdowns is an event hosted by United Way for Southeastern Michigan's Tocqueville Society;
a group that recognizes individuals who make a significant impact in their community through their generous gifts.
This event is to be hosted in October at the iconic "Big House" stadium at the University of Michigan.

COMMUNITY ROUNDTABLE TALKS REBRAND IDEATION
Community Roundtable Talks, formerly known as "Whats the Word Wednesday", are short informational talk
sessions led by various leaders on different topics that anyone can join in and listen to.
In recent months the branding around "Whats the Word Wednesday" has gone through a refresh, and the ideations
shown below were finalists amongst three other designers as our new face of the Community Roundtable Talks.
Diving deeper into the logo, color palette, and theme refresh: The logo is to represent not only a speech bubble,
but a gradient letter "C" as in "Community Roundtable", as well as half of a "round table". The gradient aspect is to
show the colors of the rising sun - as these talks would be held in the mornings.
The graphics below are sized to Instagram and Facebook or LinkedIn sizing for social media promotion
around each discussion!

ARTS BEATS & EATS COLORING PAGES
These coloring pages were created for Arts, Beats, and Eats, an event that United Way for Southeastern Michigan
is involved with each Labor Day weekend! The United Way for Southeastern Michigan tent set up was located
in the children's area - and what better way to get children and their families involved (in a fun and easy way) than
with some coloring pages!

UNITED RIVALS
United Rivals was an idea born around the rivalry between University of Michigan and Ohio State University.
As a friendly fundraising challenge between fans of the University of Michigan and Ohio State University, supporters
could donate to the United Way of their choosing: United Way for Southeastern Michigan supporting U of M,
or United Way of Central Ohio, supporting OSU. Each donation would go directly to the United Way and back into
the community to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families who rely on United Way services.
The collaboration allowed us to not only show love for the teams we support, but also to give back to the communities
we love and support as well.
As the designer behind this ideology, I was tasked with creating a logo that combined both teams colors in a way
that showed rivalry, but also togetherness as we joined forced to help people in need!
LOGOS
Starting with the basics - I built the original logo ideas based off of the University of Michigan "Block M",
and the Ohio State "O". Taking the basic shape elements of each of these letters, I then began to base the rest of my
ideas around that. Featuring all from "The Game", goal posts, stars, and striped helmets, what we ultimately landed one
was a simpler version of the head to head helmet design that is featured on the graphics shown below.

WOMEN OF INFLUENCE 10TH ANNIVERSARY LOGO
The Women of Influence 10th Anniversary Logo is something I was asked to take part in creating as we honor the 10th anniversary of our Women of Influence Summit we host each year. The logo should not only reflect our brand standard, but also showcase the elegance and significance of this summit.
Hosted by United Way for Southeastern Michigan’s Women United philanthropic group; the Women of Influence summit itself celebrates International Women’s Day and since its inception has raised more than $1.6 million to support children, families and caregivers in our community.
Below, I have showcased each logo ideation I created for this milestone event. Using our brand standard fonts: Antonio, Palanquin, and Monte Carlo, I was able to play around with numerous typographic ideas for this logo.

These were the final 3 logos / logo lockups chosen and sent for decision.

SNEAKERBALL
A Sneakerball is typically a fundraising event or party where attendees are encouraged to wear sneakers paired with
formal or semi-formal attire. The United Way for Southeastern Michigan Sneaker Ball will raise funds to support and
grow programs that serve the labor community—including the Union Community Activist Network (UCAN) Training,
Youth Skilled-Trades Education, and Labor of Love—while also highlighting the vital impact of the Labor Liaison
initiative in our communities.
I was asked to create assets for United Way for Southeastern Michigans Sneakerball event, including a logo,
digital graphics, and printed graphics.
Attempting to blend our brands colors, fonts, and digital assets with a formal feeling of a "ball" as well as a
streetwear element - attached below is what we settled on as well as the handful of different versions created in order
to find that perfect mix.

STEMPOSSIBLE
STEMpossible is a United Way for Southeastern Michigan event where the students in attendance rotate through
interactive STEM stations intended to boost curiosity, encourage creativity, improve social skills and sharpen
critical thinking.
This year, I had the pleasure of coming up with potential designs for this years STEMpossible theme of "Outer Space"
at the Michigan Science Center.
Below are three different versions I played with for an "Outer Space" theme - ranging from realistic to cartoon all
while maintaining within our brand standards (but having a little fun with some extra fonts as well).

PRIDE BANNER
The Motor City Pride Parade is an event United Way for Southeastern Michigan loves taking part in every year as we
not only show up and show out in the parade, but also at tabling events representing the community. This year I had to
honor of making the banner that led the team down Woodward!
Below the final version of the banner used at Motor City Pride are some alternate versions I created as well.
